Nosil so sebou všetky svoje veľryby. Večer bol horúci a on si ľahol do postele s jednou ponožkou. Bola červená, červená s pásikmi. Druhú nechal v kúpeľni, obesil ju nad vaňou. Obetoval ju. Nevedel komu, ale cítil sa lepšie. Bosú nohu vystrašene schovával pod prikrývkou, zvyšku jeho tela sa dotýkalo iba svetlo pouličnej lampy, presvitajúce cez žalúzie. Hravo. Nežne. Len tak, v nedeľu v noci. A tie veľryby si bral aj do postele. Ráno bolo studené, chodidlo v ponožke mu stŕplo, a to nahé premrzlo. Zamrvil prstami. Vylákal sám seba z postele,
